Overview

Kaitlyn is an associate in SS+D’s Litigation Department. She joined the firm as a Summer Associate in 2018, and she returned full time in 2019 after finishing law school. Kaitlyn is eager to serve her clients in an environment that fosters compassion, understanding, and growth. She is admitted to the Bar in Ohio, as well as both the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio.

Professional Experience / Focus Areas

Kaitlyn focuses primarily on commercial litigation and aims to develop a rich and knowledgeable platform in that area. She also collaborates with the firm’s Family Law Department and Immigration Department.  Since joining the firm, Kaitlyn has successfully assisted her clients in and out of the court, including two five-day civil jury trials ending with unanimous verdicts in her clients’ favor.

A Cincinnati native, Kaitlyn graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, concentrating her studies in Marketing and Public Relations. Kaitlyn attended the University of Dayton School of Law (UDSL), obtaining her J.D. in 2019 with a magna cum laude distinction as well as recognition as a member of the Leadership Honors Program.

During her time at UDSL, Kaitlyn participated in many organizations and took on a number of leadership roles. She was invited to join the University of Dayton Law Review, serving as the Executive Publication Editor for the 2018-2019 year and was selected for publication in the Dayton Law Review Journal. Kaitlyn also was a member of the UDSL Moot Court Team where she competed in various competitions, enhancing her oral advocacy, substantive research, and writing skills. She also served as a Dean’s Fellow, Vice President of Women’s Caucus, and as a Student Ambassador.

Personal

When not in the office, Kaitlyn enjoys spending time with friends and family and exploring all of the amazing attributes of Dayton’s rich culture and scenery. She especially enjoys exploring the outdoors with her husband Skyler, and two dogs, Bailey and Anya. True to her roots, Kaitlyn is a loyal fan and supporter of the Cincinnati Bengals, Reds, and Bearcats.
