SD+D COVID-19 Response Team: The Deadline to Apply for a CARES Act Grant in Montgomery County is October 30, 2020.

Small businesses in Montgomery County negatively affected by the COVID-19 pandemic may apply for a Cares Act grant of up to $10,000 from Montgomery County no later than October 30, 2020. “Small businesses” may include sole proprietorships (including 1099 contract workers), partnerships, and corporations. Grant funds must be used for working capital such as utilities, rent, mortgages, technology, PPE, and other operating expenses.

To be eligible, the small business must: (1) prove a negative impact resulting from the pandemic, (2) be located in Montgomery County, (3) have a physical storefront or a home office as reported in the most recent tax return, (4) have no more than 50 employees,

(5) have less than $5 million in gross revenue, and (6) retain at least one employee for three months after receiving the grant (if the small business is a sole proprietorship, the sole proprietor is the one employee).
