Jessica joined SS+D’s Litigation Department in March 2006 and concentrates her practice on Business and Commercial Litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, Jessica served as Staff Attorney to the Honorable John W. Kessler, Presiding Judge of the Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.  Her past legal experience also includes working as a litigation attorney at a national law firm in Cleveland, Ohio, serving as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Wood County, West Virginia, and clerking for two trial court Judges in Marion County, West Virginia.

Jessica is a proud graduate of West Virginia University and the West Virginia University College of Law. She received her J.D., with honors, in May 2001 and was admitted to the West Virginia bar in October 2001. After practicing in West Virginia for two years she moved to Ohio and was admitted to the Ohio bar in 2004.

While in law school Jessica was President of her law school class and a member of the M.E. Lugar Moot Trial Team. She also represented the WVU College of Law at a regional trial competition where her team placed as semi-finalists.  She is a member of The Order of Barristers national honor society.

Outside of work, Jessica spends most of her time with her husband and their dog. In her spare time she enjoys running – both as a stress reliever and so she can enjoy the fruits of her other hobbies – cooking and baking. She also enjoys reading and traveling.

Jessica is a Member of the West Virginia Bar Association, the Ohio Bar Association, the Dayton Bar Association and is Board Trustee for the Epilepsy Foundation of Western Ohio.
