Danyelle joined the firm's Litigation Department in April 2002 and became a shareholder in 2007.  She concentrates her practice in Labor and Employment Law and Workers' Compensation and is a member of each of those Practice Groups.  Danyelle is a point of contact for many firm clients, providing guidance on various employment matters, including wage and hour disputes.

Prior to joining SS+D, Danyelle practiced with another large Dayton law firm for three years.  She is admitted to the Ohio bar, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.  Danyelle received her Bachelor of Arts in Government and Africana Studies from Cornell University in 1993 and her J.D. from The Ohio State University College of Law in 1999.

Danyelle is a member of the Dayton, Ohio, American, National, and Federal Bar Associations.  She is also a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Member-At-Large of the Dayton Bar Association, and serves on the Labor and Employment and Workers' Compensation Committees of the Dayton Bar Association.  Danyelle is a contributing subject matter expert in the area of labor and employment for LexisNexis' Expert Commentaries. 

Danyelle serves on the Personnel Committee for Daybreak, a local non-profit organization.  She serves on the Board of Trustees for the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, the Board of Trustees for the Dayton Metropolitan Housing Authority, the Board of Trustees for the National Conference for Community and Justice, and the Board of Trustees for Clothes That Work. 

Danyelle is a native Daytonian and a strong community service advocate. She is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Dayton Alumnae Chapter, Trinity Presbyterian Church, and is on the Planning Committee to benefit the Girl Scouts Council of Buckeye Trails. In her spare time, Danyelle enjoys reading, travel, and poetry slams.
