Heather joined the firm's Estate Planning Department in September 2001.  She became a shareholder of SS+D on January 1, 2007.

Heather is an Ohio State Bar Association Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law. Heather was admitted to the Ohio bar in 1999 and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio in 2000. Heather received her B.A. in History and Psychology, summa cum laude, from the University of Dayton in 1996 and her J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Dayton School of Law in 1999.

While in law school, Heather served as the Editor-in-Chief of the University of Dayton Law Review. She was Vice Justice of the Phi Alpha Delta International Legal Fraternity. During her second and third years, Heather also served as a teaching assistant to first year students in legal research and writing courses.  Heather continues to serve as an adjunct Professor at the University of Dayton School of Law.

Prior to joining SS+D, Heather served as a Staff Attorney for the Honorable William H. Wolff, Jr. of the Second Appellate District of the Court of Appeals of Ohio. During 2001, Heather also co-taught Appellate Practice and Procedure with Judge Wolff at the University of Dayton School of Law.
